UNFI Procurement Team Restructure
As part of UNFI’s efforts to improve operating efficiency and better serve their retailers, UNFI has made the decision to restructure their Procurement team, with changes taking effect on August 19th.
The new team structure will align procurement into UNFI’s regional operating model, creating small buying teams focused on end-to-end support of the procurement process for each of their distribution centers. The goal of this change is to drive execution and improve performance within UNFI’s procurement team, leading to improved service levels for their partners. This change will create additional touchpoints for suppliers, but also provide more focused support with dedicated buyers for each specific UNFI distribution center.
