UNFI is opening a new, state-of-the-art facility in Sarasota, Florida, providing benefits such as improved inventory management, increased fill rates, and expanded capacity to support brands growth. From mid-May to July, UNFI will begin transitioning inventory from the current Sarasota South (SAR) distribution center to their new Sarasota North (SRQ) location. During this transition, suppliers will receive purchase orders from both distribution centers. Once the move is complete later this summer, you will only receive purchase order requests from Sarasota North. UNFI anticipates minimal impacts to purchase order quantities with this move.

POs headers for the new distribution center will say Sarasota. UNFI advises all suppliers and transportation partners to refer to the full address on the purchase order to confirm which distribution center the order is for.
If you are an EDI integrated supplier with UNFI add New Sarasota DC DUNS to your PO system. Failure to do so may result in your PO system not recognizing or processing the PO.
