On February 25th, representatives from The United Family joined city officials and community leaders to break ground on a new Albertsons Market grocery store and fuel station in Lovington, New Mexico. Scheduled to open in 2026, this will be the first United Family location in the area.
“It’s always exciting to enter a new community, especially one eager for a new grocery store,” said Sidney Hopper, President of The United Family. “We love New Mexico, and our team is looking forward to serving guests in Lovington with our best service.”
Located in North Lovington, the new Albertsons Market will offer a range of next-generation amenities, including a drive-through pharmacy, grocery pick-up and delivery, ReadyMeals, a fresh in-store bakery, and a full-service floral department with delivery. Customers will also find an extensive selection of beer, wine, and spirits, as well as a full-service deli and hot bar featuring favorites like fried chicken, pizza, breakfast options, and fresh sushi.

The store is expected to create approximately 250 jobs, further contributing to the local economy.
