Whole Foods Market Celebrates 100th Refrigerated Van Donation
Whole Foods Market recently marked a significant milestone in its fight against food insecurity by donating the 100th refrigerated vehicle through its “Nourishing Our Neighborhoods” program. The latest van was presented to the San Antonio Food Bank, which serves residents across 29 counties in Southwest Texas.
The all-electric refrigerated vehicle will help the food bank safely transport fresh produce and perishable foods to individuals and families facing hunger. During the donation event, Whole Foods Market employees filled the van with food and supplies before it entered service.
The program reflects Whole Foods Market’s broader commitment to reducing food waste and improving access to nutritious foods. Combined with support from Amazon’s delivery network and ongoing volunteer efforts by local store teams, the initiative helps extend the reach of hunger-relief organizations and improve food access for vulnerable populations throughout the region.
