Whole Foods Market is accelerating its growth in the United Kingdom, announcing plans to open six new locations across London. The announcement comes just one year after launching its first new store in the market in more than a decade.
The expansion will double the company’s U.K. store count to 12, with new sites planned in Angel, Liverpool Street, Notting Hill Gate, Wood Wharf (Canary Wharf), Monument, and St. James’s. Grand opening celebrations for the new locations will roll out over a three-month period beginning April 2nd.

The new stores will feature Whole Foods Market’s smaller-format Daily Shop concept, which was first introduced in New York City in 2024. Designed for urban neighborhoods, the format focuses on convenience while maintaining the brand’s emphasis on quality, with store sizes ranging from approximately 3,300 to 10,000 square feet.
Customers can expect a curated assortment of certified organic and conventional produce, prepared foods, meat and seafood, bakery items, and wellness and beauty products. The locations will also offer a selection of exclusive and locally relevant items tailored to London shoppers.
“We’re happy to be expanding Whole Foods Market’s physical store presence in the U.K., allowing us to reach more customers with our uncompromising quality standards and carefully curated selection of natural and organic products,” said Jason Buechel, Vice President of Amazon’s Worldwide Grocery Stores and Whole Foods Market CEO. “Each new store represents an opportunity to bring responsibly sourced, high-quality food to more communities who share our values of nourishing people and the planet.”
The announcement underscores Whole Foods Market’s renewed international growth strategy and continued investment in smaller, more flexible store formats designed to meet the needs of dense urban markets.
