Whole Foods Market Opens Third Store in Arkansas

Whole Foods Market opened a new store in Rogers, Arkansas on February 18th, marking the retailer’s third location in the state alongside stores in Fayetteville and Little Rock.

The new 39,500-square-foot store, located at 1801 S. 46th Street, is part of the mixed-use Pinnacle Hills development with attached retail, apartment and restaurant space. The location will employ approximately 150 team members, including 110 hired locally.

“As an area native, I am thrilled to help open the second Whole Foods Market location in northwest Arkansas,” said Store Team Leader Matthew Fowler. “The new Rogers store is in an amazing location – I personally love that you can bike there right off the Greenway. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch break or stocking up on groceries for the week, our team is excited to serve this wonderful community with our terrific service and high-quality standards!”

The Rogers location will carry more than 120 locally sourced products from Arkansas and surrounding states, sourced by Dustin Kennedy, forager for local and emerging brands at Whole Foods Market. The store also plans to introduce locally sourced produce and floral offerings later this spring and summer.

Opening-day events included free coffee and samples from Ozark Natural Breads for customers waiting in line. The first 300 shoppers received a limited-edition Whole Foods Market Rogers tote bag and a savings card valued between $5 and $100.

To commemorate the opening, Whole Foods Market provided a food donation to Tri Cycle Farms through its Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which supports local food rescue organizations. Additional monetary donations will be made to CARE Community Center and Feed 479.

The Rogers store expands Whole Foods Market’s footprint in a region long dominated by Bentonville, Arkansas-based Walmart and Sam’s Club, which currently accounts for nearly 80% market share in Northwest Arkansas. The new Whole Foods Market store opening signals ongoing investment in local suppliers and community partnerships across the region.
