Whole Foods Market SoPac Opens Culver City Location

Whole Foods Market is poised to open their newest Southern California location on August 10th, in Culver City. Culver City is in Los Angeles County, next to the city of Los Angeles and is a historical film and television town, dating back to the 1920s. NPR West and Sony Pictures Entertainment are currently headquartered there.

The Culver City location is 51,413 square feet and the interior design highlights city attractions: artwork of the Baldwin Hills Overlook and an aerial view of Culver City. The store’s product assortment was curated to feature local items. At the time of the opening, there will be over 1,000 local products.

The store’s design is on par with other large scale Whole Foods Market and will feature:

  • Organic, conventional and Sourced For Good produce, including local farm offerings.
  • A specialty cheese counter with trained cheese mongers available to assist.
  • Full-service meat and seafood counters.
  • An expansive selection of craft beer, spirits, and wine.
  • A tap room with 24 beers on tap and indoor and outdoor seating.
  • A prepared foods section with fresh pizza, sandwiches, burritos, and tacos made to order.
  • A bakery with fresh baked goods available daily.
  • A Whole Body department with more than 100 local products.

In honor of their opening, Whole Foods Market has made donations for fencing and irrigation systems at the Good Earth Community Garden, Los Angeles. Whole Foods Market also will be partnering with Communities in School to help provide nutritious after-school snacks for children in the nearby West Adams neighborhood’s schools. Lastly, the grocer will support summer events for Black Women in Wellness and the Shower of Hope events at the West Adams Church of Christ.
