Winn-Dixie Welcomes Harveys

Winn-Dixie has completed the conversion of its final eight Harveys Supermarket locations, bringing every company-operated store under a single banner as the grocer continues to concentrate its business in Florida and southern Georgia. The newly updated stores opened in June following several months of renovations and rebranding. Seven of the converted locations are in Florida, and one in southern Georgia. While the exterior signs now read Winn-Dixie, many shoppers will find familiar faces inside. Existing store teams remain in place, and the remodeled locations continue serving the neighborhoods they have long supported, now with the company’s broader assortment of private label products, expanded prepared foods, and updated department offerings.

The changes extend beyond new signage. Each supermarket received interior updates and a refreshed layout, along with larger selections within produce, deli, bakery, meat, and seafood. Several stores also added expanded Hispanic grocery offerings based on the preferences of their surrounding communities. Customers now have access to the Winn-Dixie Rewards program, including digital coupons, weekly promotions, and other loyalty benefits that were not previously available under the Harveys banner. The conversions represent the final phase of a transition that began earlier this year, when The Winn-Dixie Company announced plans to bring the remaining Harveys locations under the Winn-Dixie name.

The effort follows the company’s broader restructuring after reacquiring a portion of its former stores from Aldi and adopting The Winn-Dixie Company as its corporate identity. The business now operates approximately 130 supermarkets, with its attention centered on its core markets in Florida and southern Georgia. Although the store names have changed, many day-to-day shopping routines remain familiar. Departments continue to occupy the same general locations, associates have stayed with their stores, and customers can expect a full-service supermarket with fresh departments, pharmacy services where available, and a wider selection of Winn-Dixie’s exclusive brands. The updated locations are intended to provide a more consistent shopping experience across the company’s remaining stores while preserving merchandise tailored to individual communities. Completing the Harveys conversions also closes a chapter for a banner that served many communities across the Southeast for decades.

With the rebranding now finished, Winn-Dixie will direct its attention toward additional store investments and new locations planned across Florida as the company continues operating under a single retail name.
