Phoenix-based Sprouts Farmers Market announced last month restaurant industry veteran Alisa Gmelich has joined the grocery chain as Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer.
Gmelich will report to Nick Konat, Sprouts’ President and Chief Operating Officer. She will oversee marketing, advertising, and consumer engagement.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Alisa to the Sprouts team,” said Konat. “Her experience in building brands and growing customer engagement will be instrumental in shaping Sprouts’ marketing strategy to support our expansion and deepen loyalty with our customers.”
With 25 years in marketing, brand development, and loyalty-program creation and expansion, Gmelich brings a wealth of experience to the company, which is seeking to increase its digital marketing resources. Most recently, Gmelich was Chief Brand Officer at Auntie Anne’s. She has also led marketing teams at IHOP and Burger King Corp.
