NPI channels continue to show strong year over year growth in both dollars and units. All TPL channels are experiencing a decline in units, compared to last year, but only the Regional and Independent Grocery channel is seeing a decline in dollars. Natural and Specialty and Wellness products are performing well across all core SPINS channels while conventional products are only experiencing growth in MULO. Looking at SPINS attributes, items labeled organic, non-GMO, and up-cycled certified have seen significant growth compared to last year in the Natural Expanded channel. In the Conventional channel attributes like paleo-positioned and glyphosate residue free have seen much growth, while up-cycled certified has seen a significant dip in dollar sales. Finally, looking at SPINS innovation attributes in the MULO and Natural channels shows that MULO is focusing on products with caffeine and fiber and Natural is focusing on caffeine.
