All TPL channels, except for Regional & Independent Grocery, continue to outperform last year in dollar sales. The NPI channels are also showing continuous dollar and unit growth compared to a year ago. Again, we see the Natural and Specialty & Wellness products performing well across all core SPINS channels while conventional products are only experiencing growth in MULO. Looking at the SPINS Attribute Ticker, the trends of previous periods continue; items labeled organic, non-GMO, gluten free, and up-cycled certified continue to see large dollar growth in the Natural Expanded channel. The Conventional channel is still seeing dollar growth for paleo-positioned and glyphosate residue free products. The plant-based attribute continues to decline in both channels. Lastly, innovation attributes across the Natural and MULO channels show that labeled allergen friendly is a big trend. Certified seed oil free is still a big innovation trend in the Natural channel, while MULO is seeing a rise in labeled nitrate free items.
