The NPI channels show continuous year over year dollar growth, but in recent weeks have experienced a slight dip in unit growth in the Natural Expanded and Grocery channels. All TPL channels continue to under perform in unit sales compared to last year, and the Regional and Independent Grocery channel is still experiencing fewer dollar sales than a year ago. Natural and Specialty and Wellness products continue to perform well across all core SPINS channels while conventional products only experience growth in MULO. Taking a look at SPINS attributes, items labeled organic, non-GMO, gluten free, and up-cycled certified have seen significant growth compared to last year in the Natural Expanded channel. In the Conventional channel attributes like paleo-positioned and glyphosate residue free have seen much growth. The plant-based attribute is seeing declines in both channels. Finally, innovation attributes across the MULO and Natural channels show that added protein is a big trend.
