All SPINS TPL channels continue to see fewer unit sales this year compared to last. The Regional & Independent Grocery channel is seeing this same issue in dollar sales. The SPINS NPI channels are fairing a bit better, with only the Regional & Independent Grocery and Natural Expanded channels experiencing a decline in unit sales compared to last year. Across the four core SPINS channels Natural products are the only set that is up in dollar sales. Specialty & Wellness products are seeing growth in all channels except Regional & Independent Grocery, while Conventional products are only seeing growth in MULO. The SPINS Attribute Ticker for the Natural Expanded channel shows that the Foodmap Diet, Gluten Free, and Labeled Organic (70-100%) attributes have the highest sales volume and that the Up Cycled Certified attribute has the biggest growth rate. For the Conventional channel the top three attributes by sales volume are Foodmap Diet, Gluten Free, and Whole 30 Approved, and the attribute with the largest growth rate is Glyphosate Residue Free. Lastly, looking at Nutrient Content trends and innovation shows that High Potassium and High Fiber are popular in both the MULO and Natural channels.
