Montana to Receive Their First Whole Foods Market

With more than 500 stores in North America, the first Montana Whole Foods Market opened on February 1st, 2023, expanding the retailer to 44 states. The initial permit application for construction was filed in August of 2021, with supply-chain and weather possibly playing a role in the delay. The store is located on 2905 West Main Street, the south side of the Gallatin Valley Mall in Bozeman, Montana. Shoppers will experience 31,718 square feet footprint and showcase windows offering views of the beautiful snowcapped mountains.

The store has an outdoor patio with heaters for dining or drinking beverages from the women owned coffee bar, Treeline Coffee Roasters. There are more than 75 products from companies from Montana and Wyoming throughout the store. The grand opening day festivities featured Whole Foods Market scratch win cards, coffee, hot chocolate and pastries for customers who waited in line for the doors to open.

“Whole Foods will be donating to local organizations, at this time being Big Sky Youth Empowerment and Gallatin Valley Land Trust. HRDC non-profit organization is a recipient of Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing our Neighborhoods program, receiving a refrigerated van to transport both perishable and nonperishable rescued food to communities in need.” This will fill a need for the community.
